To many people, gold is the most beautiful metal in existence. But its beauty is not the reason for its high price. Gold has been used in trade for many millennia but its value comes with its rarity. The amount of pure gold that has been mined and is in existence today would barely fill 2 Olympic sized swimming pools. Its rarity is what makes this precious metal so beautiful.
